The Week of the Young Child - next annual celebration, Spring, 2012
The Week of the Young Child (WOYC), sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, is held each year to bring attention to the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the teachers, early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. In celebration of WOYC, Child Care Services Association partners with agencies across the Triangle to host activities that focus on preventing childhood obesity, fighting hunger in the Triangle, growing fruit and vegetable gardens at home, increasing physical activity, and supporting literacy and nutrition. Click here for a sample of activities from past celebrations.
