Parents wanting the compliance history of a regulated child care center or home may either call, write to, complete an electronic request form, or visit the Division of Child Development (see contact information below).

With a phone call, letter, or request form, the Division will copy up to 150 pages of provider files and mail them to the parent. (Information is not shared over the telephone.) It can take three to four weeks to receive the copies. There is no charge for this service and no limit to the number of provider records that can be copied, up to the total 150 page limit. Visitors to the Division in Raleigh may review entire files.

Files for Orange County and Durham County programs are also located at Child Care Services Association and may be reviewed by visiting our Orange County office for Orange County programs and our Durham County office for Durham County programs. Again, information is not shared over the telephone.
