Goal One
To ensure that no family pays more than 10% of its gross earnings to purchase child care for one child.
Objectives:
- Make child care subsidy resources and information available to families.
- Advocate for increased child care subsidy for families locally, statewide and nationally.
- Conduct research about the need for, benefits and costs of child care subsidy.
- Provide consultation and information to agencies, organizations and public policy-makers interested in improving the affordability of child care.
Goal Two
To ensure that high quality child care is accessible to all children.
Objectives:
- Develop and provide information about accessible, high quality care options for children that meet the needs of families.
- Advocate for improved child care accessibility for families locally, statewide and nationally.
- Conduct research on status of and factors that affect the accessibility of child care locally, statewide and nationally.
- Provide consultation and information to agencies, organizations and public policy-makers interested in improving the accessibility of child care.
Goal Three
To ensure that all child care is of high quality.
Objectives:
- Develop and provide information about technical assistance, education/training, compensation/retention and other supportive initiatives designed to improve the quality of child care.
- Advocate for improved standards, additional resources, increased compensation and supportive services to enhance the quality of child care locally, statewide and nationally.
- Conduct research about the quality of and factors that affect the quality of child care locally, statewide and nationally.
- Provide consultation and information to agencies, organizations and public policy-makers interested in improving the quality of child care.
Goal Four
To model how services are delivered to young children and their families and to child care providers.
Objectives:
- Set a high standard for outcome-driven programs from development, implementation and evaluation to continuous quality improvement.
- Develop, use, maintain and disseminate information technology that allows for efficient and effective services.
- Provide services that are respectful, convenient, easily usable and culturally competent.
- Model the partnership approach to service provision in which all participating parties share responsibilities.
- Conduct needs assessments and program evaluations that routinely involve consumers of services and modify programs appropriately to improve the quality of service and ensure achievement of outcomes.
- Practice ethical behavior in our workplace and in the child care field.
Goal Five
To be a financially, viable, strong and effective organization.
Objectives:
- Make CCSA a competitive employer as demonstrated by exemplary retention rates, employee benefits, and job satisfaction.
- Increase unrestricted funding.
- Have a supportive, effective infrastructure that matches programmatic expansion including capital items, equipment and staff.
