Take time to look at the stars divider

In addition to the number of stars on the center or home’s license, it’s also important to check the program’s compliance history. The compliance history shows how well the program has met child care regulations such as basic health and safety requirements over time. Compliance histories may be obtained by calling the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education at 1-800-859-0829 or by visiting the office at 820 South Boylan Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27603.  Compliance histories may also be viewed online at the DCDEE Child Care Search Page.
